Heritage Plant Sale: The Southern Oregon Historical Society will hold its annual Hanley Heritage Plant Sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 29-30, at Hanley Farm, 1053 Hanley Road, Central Point. More than 50 varieties will be offered, including lilacs, hellebores, columbine, peonies, iris, daylilies, herbs, rose bushes and green fig trees. Plants are mostly perennials originally planted by Martha Hanley, matriarch of the family who lived there from 1857 until her death in 1887, or her daughter Alice, who was born there in 1861 and ran the farm until her death in 1940.
