Medford man killed Tuesday in motorcycle crash on Hwy 238

A Medford man was killed on Highway 238 Tuesday when he lost control of his motorcycle and was hit by a driver from Colorado.
Bryce Beal, 56, was traveling westbound on Highway 238 at about 1:30 p.m. when he lost control on a corner and crossed into the eastbound lane, according to a news advisory from Oregon State Police. The motorcycle was struck by an oncoming Jeep Wrangler operated by James Sweeney, 61, of Vail, Colorado.
Beal was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sweeney and his passenger, Terry Dinkin, 61, also of Vail, were not injured.
The highway was closed for 3 hours during the crash investigation.
OSP was assisted by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the Medford Police Department and ODOT.
