Krause for RVTD board

Denise Krause actually rides the bus!

Do you remember Denise Krause who had her picture displayed on local RVTD buses during last election? She is running for the Rogue Valley Transportation District (RVTD) Board.

Her two opponents are implying that our public transportation is unsafe and dangerous. Denise has been safely riding our buses and connecting with everyday commuters. You may follow her on social media where she shares her experiences.

In the Voters’ Pamphlet, I was surprised to see that Denise’s opponents are running for multiple positions.

Unlike them, Denise is focused solely on RVTD, because she is actually interested in transportation and is. willing to invest time and energy to addressing public transit needs of our expanding region.

Denise currently serves on the Budget Committee of the RVTD and will make a great addition to its Board of Directors.

Get on board! Vote for Denise Krause!

No on Ashland parks measure

The Ashland Citizen Budget committee convenes every two years to review the previous two-year budget and make recommendations for the next two years. The Ashland city staff spends months gathering information for that budget meeting.

Every Ashland City Department prepares for that process every two years with their own summaries and wish lists. A public input forum is an integral part of that process.

It is messy. It is time consuming. But … that is democracy. The outcome is intended to allow for competing arguments to be heard and considered, every two years, accommodating new priorities based on Ashland’s evolving needs.

Measure 15-214 gives all of the Food & Beverage tax to Parks exclusively — for whatever they want — for 17 years. Circumventing the Ashland City Budget process and democracy for 17 years.

Wildly selfish. Vote No on Measure 15-214.
