The Rogue Valley Times will be moving into a new home the first week in June.

The Times started life in February inside the old J.C. Penney building at the corner of Sixth and Central, in space leased temporarily from the Southern Oregon Historical Society.

A lot has happened since February.

The Rogue Valley Times is up to 24 employees, with plans to hire additional reporters, editors and staff as we continue to grow, so we need the space our new home will bring.

When you combine print and digital subscribers and single-copy sales, the Times was up to 5,516 paid readers as of Friday, and we topped 2 million page views on our website rv-times.com May 4.

During the previous 30 days, 297,404 individuals the visited the site.

That’s a lot of growth in a very short time.

Our new office will be located at 2 E. Main St., inside the former Key Bank building next to the railroad tracks that run through downtown.

It was important to us that we remain in the historic section of downtown, and we’ve accomplished that.
