Friday, June 9SOPEX Stamp Show: The Southern Oregon Philatelic Society’s annual stamp show, SOPEX, will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, June 9, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 10, in the United Methodist Church Social Hall, 607 W. Haunted History Tour: Costumed docents will lead an hour-long “Haunted History” tour the second Friday of each month through Sept. 9, in downtown Jacksonville. Learn about ghosts that still linger in Jacksonville’s historic district and a little history about the buildings, their occupants and life in a gold rush town. The 7 and 7:30 p.m. Courthouse tour features stories of brothels, epidemics and hangings. The 7:15 and 7:45 p.m. Britt Hill tour shares tales of murder, arson, saloons and Oregon’s oldest Chinatown. The walking tours are not your “typical” ghost tours with special effects, but are history tours about real hauntings resulting from past events. Tours are $10; reservations are required. Reservations must be made no later than 4 p.m. on the day of the tour. Tours leave from the Jacksonville Visitors Center at the corner of N. Oregon and C streets. Ballet Folklorico Ritmo Alegre: Dance troupe Ballet Folklorico Ritmo Alegre will perform alongside Mariachi Joya de Oro for its 25th annual gala at 7 p.m. Friday, June 9, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S.
