The Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles office in Ashland will be closed the week of Aug. 14 because of a staffing shortage, according to a news release.

The office is typically open Tuesday through Thursday. DMV officials recommend checking DMV2U.Oregon.gov, both for services and appointments.

Anyone needing to visit a DMV office in person should visit the Medford office, 987 Medford Center, Medford. The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday. The office is closed 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. for lunch.
