Pheasant Fields Farm: The 19th annual Harvest Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Sept. 23-Oct. 29, at the 20-acre farm, located at 1865 Camp Baker Road, Phoenix. Activities include a corn maze, hay rides, pumpkin-picking, animal exhibits, three tractor-powered train rides, a paintball shooting gallery and vendors with local organic produce, handcrafted items, bread, caramel apples, espresso drinks and more. Once the sun goes down, guests can ride the zombie train and shoot undead targets throughout the ride or watch a movie during the farm’s outdoor movie night — screening the original “Jumanji” Sept. 23, and “The Addams Family” Oct. 6. The final two weekends of the Harvest Festival will feature additional activities that include “The Rise of The Walkers” “haunted” barn experience. Live music will be performed from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays throughout the festival. Admission is $13 in advance, $15 at the gates. Children 2 and younger get in free. Fort Vannoy Farms Harvest Festival: The annual fall festival, opening on Sunday, Oct. 1, runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily throughout October at the farm, 5791 Lower River Road, Grants Pass. Activities include an 8-acre corn maze, cow train, pumpkin chucker and apple cannon, petting zoo, pumpkin patch, farm stand with local organic vegetables for purchase and more. Nightmare Chamber Haunted House: The Randall Theatre’s annual horror haunt, The Nightmare Chamber, will bring all your own worst nightmares to life. This year’s theme will be “Paranormal,” a haunt where the spirit world runs rampant and seeks vengeance on the living. The haunt runs from 7-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 6-28, and from 7-10 p.m. Oct. 22-Nov. 4, at 10 E. Third St., the corner of Front and Third Streets in Medford. The Nightmare Chamber is a high-scare haunted house. It is not recommended for children 10 and under, if you are pregnant, prone to seizures or have problems with flashing lights and loud sounds. Regular tickets are $18. Fast passes are $25; a combo ticket to attend both the Nightmare Chamber and the Nightmare on the Rogue haunts can be purchased for $45. Nightmare on the Rogue — Haunted Mines: Hidden deep in the Front Street Mine, miners opened a tomb, unleashing a darkness beyond their wildest nightmares. The screams of those settlers still live here — along historic main streets, in quiet ghost towns, on windy country roads, and, even now, in the glint of gold flakes that lie beneath the Rogue River. The town that gold built and time forgot … until now. The haunt runs from 7-11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 6-28, and from 7-10 p.m. Oct. 22-Nov. 4, at 335 N. Front St., Medford. Talent Harvest Festival: The annual Harvest Festival in downtown Talent will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. The event kicks off with the Talent Harvest Festival 5K and 10K runs from 8 to 10 a.m. This free community event features live music at the Wagner Plaza, Old Town Park and the Library Commons Park performed by Phoenix Sigalove, Alice DiMicele and Andy Casad, Alquimistas, and Adam Gabriel and The Cavaliers. Families with young ones can find a trove of activities, entertainers and performances at the KidZone in Library Commons Park. Also look for more than 80 local art, craft and growers booths, food trucks and more. Haunted Trolley Tour: What lurks behind the lace curtains and wooden shutters of Jacksonville’s historic homes? Find out during a ride on Jacksonville’s Haunted Trolley. The 30-minute trolley tours take a light-hearted approach to local “hauntings,” featuring multiple sites with special effects and period character interpreters. Tours begin every half-hour from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday through Monday, Oct. 26-30. Tickets are $20, $15 for ages 3 to 10 years old, kids 2 and younger are admitted free. Tours start and finish at the Jacksonville Visitor Information Center, 185 N. Oregon St., on the corner of C and Oregon streets. Monster Dash: Run, walk or zombie-stroll to support our local community. The 15th annual Monster Dash Run for Education will have a virtual option and in-person race. Racers can sign up for the 1-mile, 5k or 10k distances — either in-person at Lithia Park in Ashland on race day, Saturday, Oct. 28, or virtually through Tuesday, Oct. 31. An Activity Village near the start and finish line will host free family fun crafts, exhibits, live music, entertainment, contests, and auction items from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on race day. All registrants receive a bib and medal. All races are chip-timed, and costumes are encouraged. Proceeds benefit Ashland public schools.
