Age: Lovey is 6 years old.

Personality: Lovey may seem standoffish in her kennel but outside, she is actually very affectionate and does warm up.

Highlights: Lovey will need a patient and understanding home who will give her time to come out of her shell at her own pace. She loves head scratches, loves to be independent, laying around in a calm and quiet environment She’s not a fan of being picked up but loves gentle brushing.

Available: Lovey is available at the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Hwy., Phoenix. The shelter is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and noon-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Walk-ins welcomed. No appointment needed.
