Age: Brutus is almost 2 years old.

Personality: Brutus can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he’s a great companion.

Highlights: Brutus has been working on his leash manners at the Jackson County Animal Shelter and has done excellent work. His new owner should plan to continue basic obedience training at home.

Available: Brutus is available at the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Hwy., Phoenix. The shelter is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and noon-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Walk-ins welcomed. No appointment needed.
