Once again, we have arrived at the fall season. It’s a time of cooler temperatures and beautiful fall colors. It always amazes me that so many bright colors show up in the foliage.
At the same time, however, I also know that there are fewer brilliant colors, as well. Some may be dark and somber.
The Creator knew that fewer bright colors would show off the reds, oranges and yellows much better that way.

The winter will come, and this will bring on a time of slumber in nature, a time for mother nature to recharge.
It’s a time when the leaves are down and the harvest is in, and most of the flowers are gone. Mother Earth just closed her drapes on another year, and it’s time to reflect on what came before. Soon spring with a new birth will follow.
A time of reflections and new beginnings.
It’s also a time for all humans to consider what has been and what possibly can be.
We should stop trying to hold on to our past, but we are often not capable of forgetting experiences and sometimes life-altering events of the past. Even though we know we never can grab the past, we still can follow the river of our memories.
But at the same time, we cannot start the next chapter of our life if we keep re-reading our last one. We all have triggers in our life that can and will serve us to remind us of fears and failures.
We often do not want to deal with emotions that come to the fore from past challenges. Or we can choose to deal with those knots in our stomach that keep us awake during the night. It often will surface again and again.
Hopefully, eventually, some of it will go away. Work and new challenges may create the required result.
Others may not be ready to deal with the circle of challenges, and some realize that what’s involved is knowing and seeing the decisions that are forced to be made.
We all are in the present, but many don’t live there. We’re either fixated on the future or remain stuck in the past. We should practice forgiveness and releasing blame, learning from the past and then letting go.
We all have our own unique circumstances to overcome and rise above them. The circumstances of most of us are of a learning nature, which will lead to a personal truth. It will lead to a life of meaning, acceptance and peace.
Be inspired by your good experiences and those of others, and be comforted by the knowledge that we are not alone as we travel the roads of life one step at a time.
Continue to explore what matters most, making the most of this moment; reflect; be grateful for this season and every season that you experience.
