Oregon veterans sought for positions on state advisory committee

SALEM — The Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a diverse pool of veterans to fill vacancies on the Veterans Advisory Committee.
The committee’s role is to advocate for veteran issues, share insight on veteran concerns and advise the director of the Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs. The committee is made up of nine veterans who are appointed to four-year terms by the governor.
The ODVA is seeking applications from interested veterans from both urban and rural areas, spanning diverse backgrounds and service eras.
Advisory committee meetings are held both in person and virtually throughout the state on the first Wednesday in March, June, September and December.
