Anna Maria Picollo, age76 of Prospect, Oregon, passed away on March 7, 2024 after a long battle with breast cancer and suffering a stroke. She passed away peacefully at home with her loving husband by her side.
Anna was born on October 11, 1947 in Medford, Oregon to Alfonzo Gonzalez and Olive Settell. She married her first husband, Joe Alter and went on to have two children: Necole (Alter) Monroe and Todd Alter. She raised her family in Central Point, Oregon where she juggled the duties of working for the family business and responsibilities of raising a family. Later in life she met her second husband August Picollo, and went on to live a full life on their ranch in Prospect, Oregon.
She loved to vacation at Sunriver Resort located in Sunriver, Oregon. There she shared many fond memories of family get-togethers and fun times of skiing and snowmobiling. She also had a deep love and affection for all animals and rescued more critters than we can count. Having a special bond with horses, she constantly rescued horses in need that she lovingly cared for.
Anna is survived by her loving partner August Picollo; daughter Necole Monroe; her two sisters Rita Gonzalez and Michelle Dalton; along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by both of her parents; her son, Todd Alter; and brother, Robert Gonzalez.
