Medford PD reports recent arrests in meth, fentanyl, cash cases

Six suspects have been arrested since fall on drug charges, some of which involve fentanyl and crossing state lines, the Medford Police Department reported.
The arrests of both male and female suspects, some of whom were from other states or countries, were made as a result of investigations by the Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement team, a multiagency unit that includes the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations and the FBI, according to a press release issued by the department Monday.
Yoel Fernando Valladares-Galvez, 29, and Carlos Rivas-Gamez, 19, both Honduran nationals, were arrested Feb. 15 following an investigation into allegations they delivered drugs to the Medford area from San Francisco, the release said.
MADGE served a search warrant at the Motel 6 in north Medford, where they found 10 pounds of methamphetamine and a loaded handgun, according to the release.
Valladares-Galvez pleaded not guilty March 12 in U.S. District Court to charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, according to court records. Valladares-Galvez, who is lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail, has a status conference April 29 and a jury trial May 21, court records show.
Rivas-Gamez has pleaded not guilty in Jackson County Circuit Court to charges of manufacture of methamphetamine, delivery of methamphetamine, two counts of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, two counts of manufacturing/delivering a schedule II controlled substance and two counts of unlawful possession of a schedule II controlled substance, according to court records. A jury trial is scheduled for April 10, records show.
Luis Lepe-Rodriguez, 45, and Aurora Mendoza-Valencia, 55, both of Crescent City, California, were arrested Jan. 31 following an investigation, on suspicion they were transporting drugs from the Bay area into the Medford area, the release said. Lepe-Rodriguez and Mendoza-Valencia were found in the south Medford Walmart parking lot by MADGE detectives, who uncovered 10 pounds of methamphetamine, six ounces of fentanyl and cash, the release said.
Mendoza-Valencia pleaded not guilty in Jackson County Circuit Court to charges of delivery of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Mendoza-Valencia’s next court appearance is scheduled for June 10.
Court records for Lepe-Rodriguez could not be located by the Rogue Valley Times.
Angela Rehberger, 52, and Stacy Carlisle, 51, both of Grants Pass, were arrested Oct. 26, 2023, on suspicion of transporting drugs from northern California into the Medford area, the release said.
Rehberger has pleaded not guilty in Jackson County Circuit Court to charges of delivery of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and manufacture of methamphetamine, according to court records. Rehberger was released from jail. Her next court appearance is schedule for June 24, court records show.
