Southern Oregon’s annual lineup of citywide yard sales, flea markets and fairs kicks off this weekend with the Barnstormer’s Spring Market. Featuring vintage and handmade items, the sale will be followed by flea markets and community-wide sales in every corner of the region.

This year’s list:

April 6 (Barnstormer’s Spring Market)

The vintage-themed Barnstormer’s Spring Market is set for The Expo (1 Peninger Road in Central Point) Saturday. The event, which started Friday, began in 2005 on a local farm and has become a regional favorite. This year’s event, the largest to date, will boast 100-plus vendors hocking everything from old license plates and kitchenware to garden knickknacks and clothing.

April 20 (North Medford High bowling benefit yard sale)

A fundraiser for the North Medford High School boys bowling team will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 20 in the Lava Lanes bowling alley parking lot, 2980 Crater Lake Highway. The team, which receives no funding from the school, is fundraising to compete at nationals in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. To donate items — furniture, tools, appliances, clothing, toys, the team says they’ll “take it all” — email shiggins12@hotmail.com to request pickup. Items can also be dropped off between 8 and 9 a.m. on sale day.

April 26-28 (Eagle Point)

The Eagle Point Golf Community Homeowners Association will host their annual sale, often accompanied by other neighborhoods around the city. The golf course community sale begins at 8 a.m. each day. A majority of homeowners throughout the 656-home community participate. For a sale map, and to watch for a fall yard sale date, visit online beginning April 25. For more info, call 541-385-7799.

Sept. 7-8 (Jacksonville)

A last hurrah for bargain hunters after the hottest days of summer, the city of Jacksonville’s citywide yard sale will take its usual spot the weekend after Labor Day.

It is a no-host event — meaning it’s not sponsored or coordinated by an organization or the city. Sales spring up in driveways, business parking lots and other areas in town. The sale is intended for residents and business owners of Jacksonville. Nonresidents who want to sell are required to contact the city at 541-899-1231 for a yard sale permit. Sale goers are encouraged to carpool as parking is limited.

Sept. 21 (Central Point)

Rounding out the list each year, the city of Central Point will host its fall sale, encouraging residents to set up shop and empty out their garages and driveways. As with the spring sale, a map and list of sale locations will be posted online at centralpointchamber.org/central-point-city-wide-yard-sale/.
