Live music and a variety of food and alcoholic beverage options will converge June 1 at Roxy Ann Winery in Medford for Brews, Bluegrass & BBQ.
The annual celebration — organized by the Rogue Valley Food System Network partnering with local vendors, food trucks and other businesses and hosted at the east Medford winery — will include six hours of live music from four local bands and other forms of entertainment.
The 2024 lineup includes Mountain Top Sound, The Rosa Lees, The John Dough Boys and Chasing Keridwyn with an intermission “Dance Your Grass Off” contest for the Rogue Valley’s most ardent groovers.
Scheduled from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 1, Brews, Bluegrass & BBQ is a family-friendly event, with those 15 and younger getting in for free.
Presale tickets cost $20 per person, or $30 per attendee at the door. Food and beverages are available for purchase separately.

“It’s a large event and has grown over the years, and when the weather cooperates we get upwards of 2,000 visitors,” said Chad Day, owner and general manager of Roxy Ann Winery. “There’s a large stage on the west end of the winery building and people come out and there’s beer offerings and offerings of wine as well.”
Other alcoholic beverages will be on tap with plenty of local craft beer, ciders and wines. To complement the drinks, Brews, Bluegrass & BBQ will have multiple food vendors and food trucks in attendance offering sustenance such as burgers and, of course, barbecue.
“We now have six beers on tap and we’re really focusing on this space as a community gathering center; we love to have the food carts as well,” Day said.
Organizers ensured that the event’s food choices will include options for dietary preferences such as vegetarian and gluten-free options. Non-alcoholic drinks will also be available.
Beyond the music, meals and beverages, the event will host craft vendors and kids activities to keep the whole family entertained.
Then event will have a wide range of bluegrass bands to get the boots stomping and the hips shaking.
“There’s a lot of bluegrass bands coming in throughout the day; it should be pretty fun,” Day said.
On the music side, Mountaintop Sound will open the show from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Mountaintop Sound plays a blend of folk, Americana and bluegrass, offering singer-songwriter favorites and a relaxed vibe of songs and jams.
Following them will be The Rosa Lees, performing closely blended harmonies, potent lyricism and hard-charging rhythms with influence from female bluegrass pioneers Hazel Dickens, Alice Gerrard, Rose Maddox and more.
The Rosa Lees will play from 4 to 5 p.m., with the “Dance Your Grass Off” competition coming next.
Following the dance contest, The John Dough Boys will bring their rowdy, boot-stomping mix of bluegrass and punk rock to listeners from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Closing Brews, Bluegrass & BBQ’s live music acts will be Chasing Keridwyn from 7 to 8 p.m.
Chasing Keridwyn’s soaring harmonies and sophisticated solos mix bluegrass with other genres, closing out the event in style.
The annual event supports the Rogue Valley Food System Network’s efforts to connect people with locally-grown food and locally-owned businesses. Those looking to volunteer at the event can receive free access to Brews, Bluegrass & BBQ and a free beverage at the end of their shift.
