An elderly Medford man pleaded not guilty Thursday to sexual abuse-related charges involving a girl under the age of 14.
Dennis Glen Hagler, 84, appeared in Jackson County Circuit Court for his arraignment in connection to two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct, according to court records.
The conduct allegedly occurred between August 2017 and 2023, according to court records.
A probable cause affidavit with details about the allegations was kept under seal.
Hagler was ordered by a judge Thursday to submit to pre-trial monitoring conditions, including no contact with the victim or minors, and is prohibited from using internet capable devices, court records said.
Hagler’s bail was set at $500,000. He remains lodged in the Jackson County Jail as of Monday morning, according to the facility’s roster of adults in custody.
Hagler was approved Friday for a court-appointed attorney, but one has not yet been named, according to court records reviewed Monday morning.
His next court appearance is scheduled for June 6.
