ASHLAND — Southern Oregon University’s Jordan Henderson has received an NAIA Rawlings Gold Glove Award for her slick work at first base, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced.

Henderson, a senior from Eugene, was one of nine players honored across the NAIA for their defensive prowess. She is the second Raider ever to earn the award, following pitcher Cayla Williams’ win in 2023.

In her first season as SOU’s full-time first baseman, Henderson did not commit an error in 396 chances over 59 games. She anchored a defense that often carried the Raiders during the postseason, where they committed just five errors compared to opponents’ 22.

The Cascade Conference Gold Glove winner was also a staple in the middle of SOU’s lineup. Henderson batted .360, led the team in home runs with eight and doubles with 16, and drove in 38 runs. She was one of three Raiders selected to the All-CCC first team.
