With grant awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000, all visual artists and arts educators in Southern Oregon are all encouraged to apply.
“What I appreciate the most about the Haines & Friends Visual Arts Grant Program is artists’ and arts educators’ ability to apply for just about anything,” said Paige Gerhard, program director of The Haines & Friends Visual Arts Grant Program, in a press release. “We have provided funding for much needed studio renovations so that an artist could create more comfortably, adequate supplies and materials for rural high schools … and more. It’s always exciting to see what is proposed in the applications that we receive each year.”
Established in 2014, The Haines & Friends Visual Arts Grant Program is a locally conceived and funded program offering grants to artists and arts educators throughout Southern Oregon in an effort to support their artistic projects. Use of grant funds by these individuals includes original and new works of private and public art, the purchase of supplies and equipment for personal experiences, educational offerings and more.
