In Loving Memory of Masood Badizadegan


Masood Badizadegan, age 68, passed away in Medford, OR on June 5, 2024, surrounded by his loving children.


Masood was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He married Debra Sue Badizadegan on December 31st, 1986 and they shared 28 wonderful years together before her untimely passing. Masood’s greatest joy in life was his family. He is survived by his three children, Majeed Badizadegan, Arianna Badizadegan and Desiree Badizadegan Nicolay; son-in-law Zachary Nicolay; and his three beloved grandchildren, Aubrey Sue Badizadegan, Gwendolyn Giesy-Hamilton and Grant Badizadegan Nicolay.


Masood was born and raised in Iran before moving to the United States and earning a degree in Physics from the University of Utah. Masood enjoyed science, the arts, music, culture, cruising and travel. He was an avid learner and placed a great emphasis on education for himself and his children. Masood will be remembered for his kind and generous heart, gentle spirit, intelligence, logical mind, sense of humor, clever wit, and selfless service to others. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.


A memorial service honoring Masood’s life will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Perl Funeral Home, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd, Medford.


The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff at the Heimann Cancer Center for their attentive care during his last year of life, specifically Dr. Emre Koca.
