Sheriff’s office investigating burglaries of licensed marijuana farms, storage locations

Burglars have hit multiple licensed marijuana farms and storage locations in Jackson and Josephine counties at night, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating the incidents.

“Owners and workers of these facilities should be alert for these types of crimes and report unusual activity,” a Sheriff’s Office release said. “Also, check perimeter fences and cameras to make sure they are intact and operational.”
The suspects may be armed, the release said.
Anyone with information on the burglaries, or who hasn’t reported a past burglary at a marijuana facility, is asked to call Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon dispatch’s non-emergency line — 541-776-7206 — and ask for a sheriff’s office deputy, the release said.
