Aaron Beaty (87) peacefully passed away on Saturday, July 27th in Roseburg, Oregon.
Aaron was born in Minco, Oklahoma to Clifford and Dixie Beaty on January 28th 1937. He grew up in Southern Oregon and then joined the Army, serving in the 82nd Airborne, receiving a Parachutist Badge and Letter of Appreciation. In January of 1961, Aaron left active duty and returned to Ashland, Oregon where he worked at Mark Anthony Hotel as a chief until he joined the Boise Cascade lumber mill, working there until retirement. Aaron married Naomi (Smith) Beaty on May 14 1961. They had two children: Lora (Beaty) Bowler and Tim Beaty, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Aaron was a proud member of the Little Butte Mountain Men and enjoyed making black powder rifles and power horns. He also taught classes at the junior college in Grants Pass on wood carving and inlay work in muzzleloaders.
Aaron was loved by all and a wonderful Papa. He will be greatly missed.
