- Southern Oregon Climate Action Now members, including co-founder Alan Journet, center, march in the 2023 Ashland Fourth of July parade.
Southern Oregon Climate Action Now, a nonprofit centered on addressing climate change, is offering a candidate forum for politicians running for Oregon’s House Districts 4, 5 and 6; Senate District 2; Jackson County Board of Commissioners; and the Second Congressional District.
Scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Medford library, the candidate forum will focus on climate change and the environment.
All candidates in the aforementioned races were invited to participate in the forum, though not all are likely to appear, according to SOCAN.
People are invited to submit questions for the candidates by emailing alan@socan.eco. Questions will be limited to one per person. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. Oct. 7. Questions may be for all candidates or for a particular candidate or race.
A SOCAN panel will review and vet each question for relevance, clarity and repetition.
