Two men face felony attempted assault charges with firearms enhancements on accusations they shot at two presently unknown individuals late Thursday afternoon outside a west Medford Dutch Bros near an elementary school and a memory care facility.

Daniel Abraham Godoy, 20, of Los Angeles and Darian Russel Bradd, 20, of White City each were slated to make their initial appearance in Jackson County Circuit Court Friday afternoon on two counts of attempted first-degree assault with a firearm and two counts of unlawful use of a weapon with a firearm.

The charges stem from a shooting believed to be non-injury reported at 4:19 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of Oak Grove Road and West Main Street, according to a release issued Friday by the Medford Police Department.

Multiple witnesses told Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon 911 dispatchers that they witnessed a black Lexus sedan pull into the Dutch Bros parking lot, where the car’s passenger allegedly displayed a handgun to two unidentified male subjects on foot.

The unidentified individuals walked to a red SUV parked in front of nearby Kensington Memory Care. The Lexus followed the individuals into the parking lot, and witnesses told police they saw the passenger fire multiple rounds at them.

The Lexus and the red SUV each fled the scene in different directions. Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies pulled over the suspect vehicle at 5:19 p.m. Thursday on Highway 238 near Jacksonville and took two suspects into custody identified as Goddoy and Bradd.

As of midday Friday, Medford police detectives were searching for the alleged victims in the shooting and were working to identify them. Police released two surveillance photos of the individuals with detectives seeking to confirm the two men are uninjured.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Bill Ford at 541-840-1202 and reference case No. 24-14969.

Medford police arrested Godoy and Bradd on suspicion of five counts of unlawful use of a weapon. The Jackson County District Attorney’s office filed the two attempted assault and weapon use charges with firearms enhancements Friday morning.

According to a filing by Senior Deputy District Attorney Alyssa Claseman, who is prosecuting the case, the attempted assault firearms enhancement alleges that the victims “did not substantially contribute to the commission of the above-described offense by precipitating the attack.”

As of 1:15 p.m. Friday, both suspects are listed as inmates in the Jackson County Jail.
