Susan Jean Chase, 84, of Prineville, formerly of Wallowa, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2024 at a local care facility. A Graveside Service will be held at Wallowa Cemetery on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 2:00pm. Casual dress is preferred by the family.

Susan was born on April 11, 1940 in La Grande, Oregon to Cecil and Lottie (McCrae) Chrisman. She resided in Wallowa, OR; Walla Walla, WA; Tigard, OR; Medford, OR; The Dalles, OR and Grass Valley, OR. She attended schools in Wallowa and graduated from WA-HI, Walla Walla, WA, in 1958. She later attended Eastern Oregon College. She married Frank Burt Chase and they later divorced.

Susan was employed with the Sherman County School District as a Special Services Teacher. She enjoyed crafting, quilting, reading, bird watching, traveling and gardening.

Susan is survived by her children, Brad Chase (Angela) of Bend, OR and Kristina Chase of Portland, OR. She was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Chase and brother, Robert Chrisman.
