Jerald (Jerry) Thomas White

September 20, 1934 – September 13, 2024

Jerry White passed away in the comfort of his home, surrounded by loved ones on September 13th, 2024. He was just 1 week away from celebrating his 90th Birthday.


He was born September 20th, 1934 to Russel and Clara (Hamilton) White. Jerry was the youngest of 3 children.


Jerry graduated from Nordhoff Union High School in Ojai, CA in 1953. He enlisted in the Army in 1957. Jerry married his soulmate Karen Johnson on August 2nd, 1958 and together they raised 4 children, Todd, Chad, Holly, and Ashley. After being honorably discharged from the Army in 1961, Jerry went on to work for Pacific Northwest Bell as a lineman for over 50 years.


Jerry could make a friend out of anyone. He loved to talk to people and share stories about his life. He was a proud member of the Southern Oregon Model A Club and a true Ford guy. Jerry was a huge fan of the Price is Right and never missed watching it every morning at 10:00 am. Most of all, Jerry loved his family.


He is predeceased by his wife Karen, their sons Todd and Chad, his older brother, Ansel Arthelle, and his parents Russel and Clara. Jerry is survived by his sister, Idelle Collins, his 2 daughters Holly (Dan) Drake and Ashley (Hugo) Miza, 6 grandchildren Alli, McKenna, Garrett, Blake, Austin, and Dawson, and 2 great granddaughters Lily and Charli.


A funeral service will be held on September 28th at 11:00 am at the LDS Church in Central Point (2305 Taylor Rd), and a viewing will take place at 10:00 am. Those who knew and loved Jerry are invited to attend. Funeral arrangements made by Perl Funeral Home.
