Sally Davies of Medford, OR, and formerly Coeur d’ Alene, ID and Boise, ID, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024.
Sally was born in Caldwell, ID, the daughter of Jason and Elva Smith and sister to Ina. Sally is survived by her sons Drew and Guy and their wives Stephanie and Jodi and her grandchildren Katie, Graham, McKinley, Aurora, and Will.
Sally loved her sons and she especially loved her grandchildren. Sally attended University of Idaho. Sally married Phil Davies in 1964 and they enjoyed 58 years of marriage until Phil’s passing in 2022. Following their honeymoon, Sally and Phil moved to Orange, CA where she worked as a dental assistant and Phil worked in banking. After living in CA for two years, they returned to Idaho where Sally worked in a variety of positions including a few years as a professional reader for a clipping service and she worked at Hewlett Packard in Boise for 7 years. Sally read voraciously for pleasure, sometimes reading multiple books per week. When they moved to Medford in 2000, Sally immersed herself in the Rogue Valley’s art community where she loved to paint and work with other artists. Sally will be remembered by her many friends and family for her artistic talent, wit, storytelling, love of conversation and joy for life.
Sally and Phil’s ashes will be laid to rest side by side in McCall, ID.
