Pheasant Fields Farm: The 20th annual Harvest Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, through Oct. 27, at the 20-acre farm, located at 1865 Camp Baker Road, Phoenix. Activities include a corn maze, hay rides, pumpkin-picking, animal exhibits, three tractor-powered train rides, a paintball shooting gallery and vendors with local organic produce, handcrafted items, bread, caramel apples, espresso drinks and more. Once the sun goes down, guests can ride the zombie train and shoot undead targets throughout the ride and more. Admission is $13 in advance, $15 at the gates. Children 2 and younger get in free. KLZ Farms: The annual KLZ Farm Pumpkin Patch, 4283 Fern Valley Road, Medford, will be open from noon to 6 p.m. Fridays; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays, through October. The farm will also offer a variety of activities including a hay pyramid and slides, games, paintball shooting, pedal cars, cow train and monster truck rides, carnival swings, corn and pumpkin cannons and more. Fort Vannoy Farms Harvest Festival: The annual fall festival runs from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily throughout October at the farm, 5791 Lower River Road, Grants Pass. Activities include an 8-acre corn maze, cow train, pumpkin chucker and pumpkin blaster, hayrides, pumpkin patch, farm stand with local organic vegetables for purchase and more. Bigham Farms Pumpkin Patch: The annual Bigham Farms Pumpkin Patch, 9445 Pumice Lane, Central Point, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays through Sundays, through Oct. 25. Evers Ridge Farm: The Evers Ridge Farm pumpkin patch, located at 3100 Cordelia Way, Medford, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday throughout October. Nightmare Chamber Haunted House: The Randall Theatre’s annual horror haunt, The Nightmare Chamber, will bring all your own worst nightmares to life. The haunt runs from 7 to 10 or 11 p.m. select nights through Nov. 2, at 10 E. Third St., the corner of E. Third St. and N. Front St. This year, The Nightmare Chamber is offering two new sections of the haunted house: “The Dark,” an all-dark maze with more tactile experiences, and “The Dungeon: Midway of the Macabre,” a vendor market with a beer garden and refreshments. The Nightmare Chamber is a high-scare haunted house. It is not recommended for children 10 and under, if you are pregnant, prone to seizures or have problems with flashing lights and loud sounds. Tickets are $27, $42 for a RIP fast pass and $95 for a season pass. Fast passes allow visitors to skip wait time with a scheduled appointment. Gold Hill Haunted House & Graveyard: A two-story, family-friendly haunted house more than 100 years old is the setting for ghoulish good fun and treats for all ages from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, through Oct. 26, at 504 1st Ave., Gold Hill. The haunt does not do gore and also offers a “no scare” option. Additional activities include a fortune teller, bake sale and kids activities. Tickets are $6 for ages 13 and older, $4 for ages 6 to 12, $2 for ages 3 to 5 and free for ages 2 and younger. Nightmare on the Rogue — Haunted Mines: Hidden deep in the “Fir Street Mine,” miners opened a tomb, unleashing a darkness beyond their wildest nightmares. The screams of those settlers still live here — along historic main streets, in quiet ghost towns, on windy country roads, and, even now, in the glint of gold flakes that lie beneath the Rogue River. ‘Just Scream’ Haunted House: Just Scream Halloween will present a haunted house from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 18-26, at the old Elks building, 202 N. Central Ave., in downtown Medford. Travel through a dark world of zombies, ghouls and goblins. Children younger than 7 will not be admitted; child care will be available. Hattie’s Haunted Flight Nights: Spooky season is upon us, and Del Rio’s resident ghost, Hattie Beach Haymond, has started to make her presence known. But who is Hattie? Movie in the Cemetery: Get into the spooky spirit by watching the film “Psycho” at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at the Central Point Cemetery, 223 W. Vilas Road, Central Point. Tickets are $10 in advance; no tickets will not be sold at the event. Seating will be on the gravel roads, lawn chairs are required. Outside food and beverages allowed; no alcohol or smoking. ‘Howlin’ Halloween’: Created and brought to you by Teen Musical Theater of Oregon, “Howlin’ Halloween” is back by popular demand. This spooktacular, family-friendly musical revue features favorite songs of the season, including “Monster Mash,” “Time Warp,” “Thriller “and “Grim Grinning Ghosts.” Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25; and 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 26-27, at the Craterian Theater, 23 S. Central Ave., Medford. Wearing a costume is highly encouraged. The Craterian lobbies will be transformed for trick-or-treating and a costume contest will be held. Monster Dash: Run, walk or zombie-stroll to support our local community. The 16th annual Monster Dash Run for Education will have a virtual option and in-person race. Racers can sign up for the 1-mile, 5k or 10k distances — either in-person at Lithia Park in Ashland on race day, Saturday, Oct. 26, or virtually through Thursday, Oct. 31. An Activity Village near the start and finish line will host free family fun crafts, exhibits, live music, entertainment, contests and auction items from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on race day. All registrants receive a bib and medal. All races are chip-timed, and costumes are encouraged. Proceeds benefit Ashland public schools. Monster Ball: ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum will hold its annual Halloween-themed party from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, at the museum, 1500 E. Main St., Ashland. Dance to the terrorizing tunes spun by DJ Alan Parowski in the “Ghoulish Graveyard,” try fiendish hands-on experiments with ScienceWorks “Mad Scientist” staff, enter a costume contest and raffles to win spooktacular prizes and more. Parkway Trunk-or-Treat: Parkway Christian Center will hold a trunk-or-treat event from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27, at the church, 229 NE Beacon Drive, Grants Pass. Children’s Halloween Parade: Ashland’s annual Halloween celebration for kids and their families will kick off at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the Ashland library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. The kids parade will follow East Main Street to the Ashland Plaza. Kids can trick-or-treat at downtown businesses and participate in a variety of activities. Spookadelic Halloween Funktakular: The annual Spookadelic returns with a theme of Latin funk and soul, and the spirit of Dia De Los Muertos at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the historic Ashland Armory, 208 Oak St., Ashland. Live music will be performed by five-piece, California-soul band Object Heavy, and Michum Yacoub’s Funky Orchestra, a hard-driving, seven-piece Afrobeat/World Latin band. Following the bands a DJ “Funkoff Battle Royal” will take place between DJ FUNKenstein vs. The Monster. The event will also feature surprise performers inspired by the Latin and Los Muertos theme.
