Medford police investigate house party shooting; 2 hit by bullets

Two people were hit by gunfire early Sunday morning at a house party in Medford, and suspects remain at large, police said.

Officers were dispatched around 2:53 a.m. to the 2600 block of Bullock Road after a report of a shooting, according to a Medford Police Department news release Sunday morning.

“Multiple agencies responded to assist,” the release said. “Upon arrival, it was determined the shooting occurred at a private event attended by approximately 80 people.

“The unidentified suspects fired rounds toward the security guard, striking the security guard and a juvenile in attendance. Both were transported to local hospitals with non life-threatening injuries. The juvenile has since been treated and released,” according to police.
