Arrests

Failure to report as a sex offender — John Thomas Haynes, 66, no known address. Medford police arrested Haynes Thursday on a probation violation for failure to report as a sex offender. Haynes was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance.

Drugs, failure to appear — Walter Jacinto Hernandez Costilla, 24, of the 3000 block of Chestnut Avenue, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Hernandez Costilla Friday on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and warrants for failure to appear on charges of first-degree criminal trespass, second-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal trespass. Hernandez Costilla was lodged in jail and released on his own recognizance.

Drugs — Kevin Edward Ellsworth, 58, of the 600 block of Oakdale Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Ellsworth Friday on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful manufacture of a marijuana item. Ellsworth was lodged in jail and released on his own recognizance.

Drugs, driving under the influence of intoxicants — Joe Robert Gutierrez, 35, of the 800 block of Tanger Way, Grants Pass. Talent police arrested Gutierrez Friday on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, hit and run vehicle-property damage, reckless endangering, second-degree criminal mischief and reckless driving. Gutierrez was lodged in jail and released on his own recognizance.

Domestic abuse, reckless driving — Dagoberto Antonio Madero-Gastelum, 32, of the 600 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, Ashland. Medford police arrested Madero-Gastelum Saturday on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving as well as warrants of failure to appear on charges of strangulation-domestic abuse and menacing-domestic abuse. Madero-Gastelum was lodged in jail without bail.

Failure to appear, drugs — Timothy Tracy Russell, 44, of the 300 block of Talent Avenue, Talent. Ashland police arrested Russell Friday on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, second-degree disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal trespass as well as warrants for failure to appear on charges of assault on a peace or public safety officer, attempted assault on a peace or public safety officer and resisting arrest as well as a probation violation for first-degree burglary. Russell was lodged in jail without bail.

Domestic abuse — Rusell Scott Kitts, 53, of the 200 block of Leeanna Way, Shady Cove. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Kitts Saturday on charges of second-degree assault-domestic violence, fourth-degree assault-domestic abuse and unlawful use of a weapon. Kitts was lodged in jail without bail.
