The two 17-year-old suspects were arrested in Grants Pass Wednesday on suspicion of committing multiple counts of first-degree assault, according to a news release issued Thursday by the Medford Police Department.
The release does not name the juvenile suspects. Both were lodged in the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center.
The charges accuse one of the juveniles of opening fire at a private party at 2:53 a.m. Oct. 27 in the 2600 block of Bullock Road, and the other juvenile of acting as the driver. The driver separately faces an additional felony charge of hindering prosecution in the case, according to the release.

Leading up to the shooting, the two teens were reportedly escorted out of the party by security following a disturbance at the private event. One of the teens grabbed a handgun from their vehicle and fired at the people who removed them from the event — ultimately striking a 37-year-old security guard and a 17-year-old at the party attended by roughly 80 people, according to police.
The two injured shooting victims were rushed to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The case continues to remain under investigation, and anyone with information or video of the event is asked to contact Medford police detectives at 541-774-2230 and reference Medford police case No. 24-17581.
