UPDATE: All I-5 lanes open over Siskiyou Summit after jackknifed truck crashes cleared

A crash on northbound Interstate 5 at milepost 4 near the Siskiyou Summit includes several jackknifed trucks in both directions, and extended delays are expected, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.

“Snowplows and operators are on the scene, but expect extended delays. A temporary hold has been placed at milepost 11 southbound and at the border northbound. Watch for changing conditions, and make sure you are carrying chains,” a news release said.

The Oregon Department of Transportation reports all northbound and southbound lanes on Interstate 5 are now open following crashes that involved jackknifed trucks in both directions.
