Arrests

Reckless endangering — Daniel Waylon Gates, 44, of the 300 block of Bradley Way, Eagle Point. Eagle Point police arrested Gates Tuesday on charges of first-degree sexual abuse and harassment. Gates was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Encouraging child sexual abuse — David Lee Hurd, 54, of the 3700 block of South Pacific Highway, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Hurd Tuesday on a charge of second-degree encouraging child sexual abuse. Hurd was lodged in jail without bail.

Drugs — Karan Elizabeth Alexandra Kappel, 32, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Kappel Tuesday on charges of unlawful manufacture of a Schedule II controlled substance, unlawful delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance, unlawful possession of a Schedule II substance, unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, unlawful delivery of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Kappel was lodged in jail on $20,000 bail.

Attempted rape, sexual abuse — Harold Martin Powell, 62, of the 600 block of Caves Highway, Cave Junction. Medford police arrested Powell Tuesday on charges of first-degree attempted rape, first-degree sexual penetration, first-degree sexual abuse, strangulation-domestic abuse, fourth-degree assault-domestic abuse, harassment, coercion and resisting arrest. Powell was lodged in jail without bail.

Fugitive — Mason Scott Raymond, 28, of the 300 block of Ingels Drive, White City. Medford police arrested Raymond Tuesday on a fugitive warrant from California, as well as a charge of felon in possession of a firearm. Raymond was lodged in jail on $255,000 bail.

Drugs, criminal trespass — Richard Daniel Andre, 29, no known address. Medford police arrested Andre Monday on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and second-degree criminal trespass. Andre was lodged in the Jackson County Jail without bail.

Domestic abuse — Bryan Jonathan Matlock, 28, of the 1500 block of Oleander Street, Medford. Parole and probation officers arrested Matlock Saturday on a charge of fourth-degree assault-domestic abuse. Matlock was lodged in jail and bailed out.

Supplying contraband — Jessica Lynne Rigsby, 34, of the 7800 block of 27th Street, White City. Medford police arrested Rigsby Monday on charges of supplying contraband, interfering with a peace officer, resisting arrest and harassment. Rigsby was lodged in jail without bail.

Domestic abuse — Raquel Rayanna Rodriguez, 36, no known address. Medford police arrested Rodriguez Monday on a charge of fourth-degree assault-domestic abuse. Rodriguez was lodged in jail without bail.

Probation violation, drugs — Elizabeth Jeanet Vega, 38, of the 500 block of Mary Street, Medford. Medford police arrested Vega Monday on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, a probation violation for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of unlawful possession of methamphetamine. Vega was lodged in jail on $7,000 bail.
