Redmond Kiwanis helps raise more than a ton of food for needy families

- Redmond Kiwanis and Cub Scout Troop 27 delivered 2,319 pounds of food to St Vincent De Paul food bank in Redmond.
A group of Redmond nonprofits raised more a record amount of food for Redmond families in need.
Partnering with Redmond Cub Scout Troop 27, a fourth-grade class at Lynch School, Hospice of Redmond, TEAM Referral Network and Caldera High School Key Club, Redmond Kiwanis recently delivered 2,319 pounds of items to the food bank operated by the Society of St Vincent De Paul in Redmond.
“We contribute items throughout the year and give an extra push this time of year. This is the first time we exceeded 2,000 pounds and appreciate the participation of our community partners,” said Earl Fisher, committee chair for Redmond Kiwanis’ food drive.
The Kiwanis Club of Redmond improves the lives of the youth and families of Redmond and the surrounding communities through service projects, money to support youth -focused organizations and scholarships to graduating high schools students.
