Arrests

Failure to report as a sex offender — Robert Eugene Nieblas, 54, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Nieblas Thursday on a charge of failure to report as a sex offender. Nieblas was lodged in the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance.

Identity theft — Emily Anne Smith Bish, 38, of the 800 block of Tannin Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Smith Bish Friday on charges of identity theft and second-degree forgery. Smith Bish was lodged in jail and released on her own recognizance.

Fugitive — William Brian Tate, 49, of the 400 block of Red Blanket Road, Prospect. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Tate Friday on a warrant as a fugitive wanted in Idaho. Tate was lodged in jail without bail.

Burglary — Dylan Keith Hewlett, 33, of the 1900 block of Homeview Drive, Medford. Central Point police arrested Hewlett Friday on charges of second-degree burglary, first-degree theft and theft by receiving. Hewlett was lodged in jail without bail.

Driving under the influence of intoxicants, assault — Alisa Mae Lewis, 38, no known address. Medford police arrested Lewis Saturday on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and third-degree assault. Lewis was lodged in jail without bail.

Assault, reckless endangering — Anthony James Winsbury, 38, of the 2200 block of Highway 62, Eagle Point. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Winsbury Saturday on charges of second-degree attempted assault, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving under the influence of intoxicants, carrying of concealed weapons, reckless endangering, first-degree theft, first-degree criminal mischief, attempting to elude police by vehicle, resisting arrest, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, possession of burglary tools and a parole violation for first-degree burglary. Winsbury was lodged in jail without bail.

Domestic abuse — Eric Alan Hamilton, 54, of the 2900 block of East McAndrews Road, Medford. Medford police arrested Hamilton Sunday on charges of strangulation-domestic abuse, fourth-degree assault-domestic abuse and harassment. Hamilton was lodged in jail without bail.

Failure to appear — Michael James Jones, 42, of the 700 block of East Main Street, Ashland. Medford police arrested Jones Saturday on warrants for failure to appear on charges of unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful possession of inhalants, menacing and resisting arrest as well as a charge of second-degree criminal trespass. Jones was lodged in jail without bail.
