Savannah

Age: Savannah is a beautiful, athletic and gentle 1 year, 2-month-old female German Shepherd mix

Personality: Intelligent, curious, sweet, playful with gentle dogs, shy to start but warms up to calm, gentle handlers

Highlights: This curious girl is learning to navigate the world around her with confidence, and she’s searching for a patient forever family that can provide her with loving support as she blossoms. True to her shepherd roots, Savannah is an intelligent pup who already knows how to sit, and she may just show off a hidden repertoire of tricks once she becomes more comfortable and confident in a patient, loving home. Consistent training and lots of praise will leave Savannah a jack of all trades, and the experience will only strengthen the bond of trust between her and her new family. As she adjusts to her new life, her energy level may rise, so she will do best with a family that can provide regular exercise and mental stimulation. While her history with cats is unknown, it’s important she meet any other dogs in the home prior to adoption.

Availability: Savannah is available at the Jackson County Animal Shelter, 5595 S. Pacific Hwy., Phoenix. The shelter is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and noon-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Walk-ins welcomed. No appointment needed. View Jackson County’s adoptable pets: jacksoncountyor.gov/pets.
