Dinosaur lovers in the Rogue Valley will have plenty to check out later this month when the traveling Dinosaur Adventure show comes to the Jackson County Expo with dino-related fun and activities.

“It’s an all-new, one-of-a-kind exhibit featuring realistic, life-sized dinosaurs that come alive with their life-like movement and roars,” said Steve Rajtar, marketing manager for Dinosaur Adventure.

The event will feature a wide range of activities for kids and the young at heart such as animatronic dinosaurs and baby dinosaur encounters, fossil searches, bounce houses and more.

Dinosaur Adventure is scheduled to be in town from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at The Expo, 1 Peninger Road in Central Point.

Tickets are $30 for kids 12 and younger, $25 for ages 13 years or older. Adventure Pack options are also available for visitors continue the dino fun at home.

Standard Adventure Packs are $29 or $49 for the Ultimate Adventure Pack. The standard pack includes a Dinosaur Adventure drawstring backpack, a hatchable dinosaur egg, Dinosaur Adventure toy, fossil dig bag and a sticker pack, while the Ultimate Pack includes all the Standard features as well as a Dinosaur Adventure T-shirt, mining bag and a green screen photo. Adventure Packs do not include admission.

Tickets and Adventure Packs can be purchased at the door or in advance at clickntix.com/e/dinosaur-adventure-medford-or-2025.

The event features a plethora of immersive activities in the world of dinosaurs.

“As part of Dinosaur Adventure, children of all ages will enjoy a variety of activities: fossil crafting, Jurassic Jeeps, themed obstacle courses, riding their favorite dinosaur and more,” Rajtar said. “The whole family will also be amused by our live entertainment featuring a walking dinosaur show, and a baby dinosaur meet-and-greet.”

Other activities to try out include fossil digs, Jurassic scooters, gemstone mining, face painting, green screen photo shoots, a coloring station, prehistoric playground and more.

The show has over 30 animatronic dinos to check out up close.

Strollers and wagons are welcome at Dinosaur Adventure, and the event will include concessions as well as allowing patrons to enter and re-enter as they please, so long as they have their tickets.

Organizers recommend visitors not wear green if they are planning to take photos at the green screen. Patrons are welcome to bring their own cameras as there will be plenty of photo opportunities.

The event is not only entertainment-centered but also includes activities to learn more about the prehistoric creatures and their diets, how to pronounce dinosaur names, what it was like to live back then and more.

And Dinosaur Adventure will have one of the largest dinosaur gift shops where event attendees can find dinosaur eggs and exclusive toys, according to Rajtar.

“My favorite part is hearing about all the kids having a great time and learning about the dinosaurs and the smiles on their faces,” Rajtar said about organizing this event.

When asked if any particular prehistoric creature held a special place in his heart, Rajtar replied, “My favorite dinosaur is a T-Rex.”
