If you like air travel, there’s big news coming from Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport.
Writer Tony Boom reported on airport plans to expand the terminal, add skybridges and build a second-floor concourse.
The story took off on social media and gained a healthy amount of readers at rv-times.com.

One social media post noted that travelers going to and from the Medford airport have a future to look forward to that doesn’t involve walking out to planes in all kinds of extreme weather — which for Southern Oregon could all happen within a 12-hour span.
The new plan for MFR (which is the airport’s identifier code) comes on the heels of recent movement toward locking in a new air route between the Rogue Valley and the Dallas-Forth Worth airport, and it was just announced last week that Alaska Airlines will begin offering a direct route from MFR to San Diego this spring.
So pack your bags and start planning some trips. We’ve always been a supporter of airport operations locally, and these newest developments are bound to give Southern Oregonians more options to fly the friendly skies with added comfort and convenience.
