Pacific Power says service is being restored to regional customers after the effects of a winter storm. Some people in Southern Oregon, however, might have to wait until Thursday evening.

The company’s said in a post late Wednesday afternoon:

“As of 3 p.m., 97% of the customers who experienced outages due to the winter weather have been restored. Those customers still without power in the Grants Pass, Medford and Klamath Falls areas should have service restored by Thursday evening.

“More than 300 field crews and other personnel are involved in restoration efforts, working around the clock to make repairs. In the Medford, Grants Pass and Klamath Falls districts, field crews are responding to more than 200 spans of downed power lines, as well as broken poles and other damaged electrical equipment,” the post said.
