- Bryley Richardson of Cascade Christian lofts a shot during Tuesday's game against St. Mary's in Medford.
Minus one of its leading players, Class 3A fourth-ranked Cascade Christian still found enough in the tank to extend its winning streak to 11 games over St. Mary’s with a 55-46 boys basketball triumph Tuesday night in Medford.
The crosstown rematch offered another nip-and-tuck Southern Oregon Conference battle in the Challengers’ gym, with Cascade Christian finally able to create some breathing room during an 18-11 edge in the third quarter spirited by 3-pointers from Jaren Fronckowiak and Cade Goldade.
Fronckowiak finished with 16 points, eight assists, six rebounds and three steals for the Challengers (15-4, 7-0 SOC), while Goldade powered through for 15 points and 11 rebounds. Bryley Richardson also supplied 12 points, five rebounds and five assists to help offset the absence of junior Deryk Farmer, who missed his second straight game with a sprained ankle.
