Arrests

Strangulation, assault — David Shane Gilbert, 54, of the 600 block of North Grape Street, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Gilbert Tuesday on charges of strangulation and fourth-degree assault as well as a warrant for failure to appear on a charge of failure to report as a sex offender. Gilbert was lodged in the Jackson County Jail on $20,000 bail.

Sexual penetration — Corey Vince Insogna, 48, of the 2200 block of Crater Lake Avenue, Medford. Central Point police arrested Insogna Tuesday on a charge of first-degree sexual penetration. Insogna was lodged in jail without bail.

Strangulation, assault — Corey Eugene Malbeck, 36, of the 1100 block of Hodson Lane, Eugene. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Malbeck Tuesday on probation violations for first-degree theft, unlawful delivery of methamphetamine and felon in possession of a firearm. Malbeck was lodged in jail without bail.

Failure to appear — Jamie Paul Rice, 42, of the 1200 block of South Oakdale Drive, Medford. Medford police arrested Rice Monday on warrants for failure to appear on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Rice was lodged in jail on $25,000 bail.
