Foothill Road will be closed to all through traffic from Coker Butte Road to Dry Creek Road for approximately two weeks to address a failing culvert, Jackson County officials said Tuesday.

The full closure is planned to begin at 6 p.m. Friday, March 7, and extend through March 21, according to a news release from Steve Lambert, Jackson County Roads and Parks director.

“Construction crews will be working 24-hours per day during the first weekend of the closure to help minimize the closure period,” the release said. “Drivers will be detoured to Crater Lake Avenue via East Vilas Road and Coker Butte Road. Foothill Road will remain open to local traffic only between East Vilas Road and Dry Creek Road.”
