Home sales rise in Jackson County over same period in 2024

Existing urban home sales increased in Jackson County over the past three-month period, with 381 homes sold compared to 344 during the same period last year, according to statistics from the Rogue Valley Association of Realtors.

The cumulative number of days on the market from Dec. 1, 2024, to Feb. 28 was 35 days, up 1 day compared to last year’s 34 cumulative DOM, a news release said. The residential inventory of homes on the market increased 12%, with 654 homes on market for the period this year compared to 584 at the same time last year.

Sales of existing homes in Jackson County increased 10.76%.

Sales of newly constructed homes increased to 80 over the period from 63 for the same period last year, the release said.

The county-wide median price for the rolling quarter was $415,000, up 3.8% from the previous year’s $400,000.

The median price for a rural home in Jackson County was $617,500, up 12.3% compared to $550,000 during the same period last year. A total of 88 rural homes sold during the rolling quarter, with the cumulative days on market being 89, compared to 78 rural homes sold during same time period last year and an average of 59 cumulative days on market.
