Adopt a pet: Bambi

Published 6:00 am Thursday, March 20, 2025

Age: Bambi is a 1-year, 2-month-old, female German Shepherd mix

Personality: Intelligent, playful, sensitive, energetic, social with dogs

Highlights: Bambi is a beautiful 50-pound brindle German Shepherd mix with a gentle spirit and a lot of personality. Although she can be shy or cautious around new people, loud noises and fast movements, she is steadily building her confidence and learning how to socialize with humans. With patience and understanding, Bambi is making great progress. She already knows “sit” and is eager to continue learning. Playful and social with other dogs, Bambi loves running, playing and chatting with her canine friends in the yard. As a fast runner, Bambi will benefit from daily exercise, so potential adopters should ensure she has plenty of opportunities for activity. German Shepherds are intelligent, loyal, and active dogs, so providing structure and engagement is essential for her well-being. Basic training will help build her confidence and strengthen your bond with her. While we are unsure of Bambi’s compatibility with cats, she may occasionally herd her canine friends during playtime. We recommend a meet-and-greet between any resident dogs prior to adoption. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful companion who will thrive with love and care, Bambi is ready to meet you!
