Pam was born on March 28, 1945, in San Jose, California. Earl and Loraine Campbell were her parents. Pam was raised in Los Gatos, California. When she was 15 years old they moved to Brazil. Two years later they returned to the United States and lived in Medford, Oregon. Pam graduated from Medford High School. Then she attended Southern Oregon State College graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. She had a career working for more than 30 years for the State of Oregon. She started as a case worker and became a supervisor in the Department of Human Services where she helped innumerable children and families.
Pam loved to laugh, dance, and travel. She was a great cook and held many house parties. She met her husband Aaron on September 10, 1992 in Ashland. They fell in love and were married on February 13, 1999. It was a wonderful marriage. They lived in Washington, DC, Milwaukee, WI, and Salem, OR, returning to the Rogue Valley in 2010. They lived in Brookings, OR finally settling in Ashland. They traveled internationally to Mexico, Canada, Australia, Scotland and Ireland. In the United States, they visited Hawaii and travelled extensively in their motorhome. Palm Springs, the Pacific Coast, and the National Parks, were their favorite destinations.
Pam is survived by her husband, Aaron Horton, her daughter Erin Gardner, her grandson Michael Gardner, and her sister-in-laws Barabara Campbell and Candace Horton.
Pam died from Dementia/Alzheimer’s disease on March 9, 2025 in Ashland, Oregon.
