Arrests

Failure to appear, drugs — James Duwayne Atchley, 64, of the 400 block of Fir Street, Medford. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Atchley Sunday on warrants for failure to appear on charges of unlawful possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, second-degree theft and driving with a suspended or revoked license as well as charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Atchley was lodged in the Jackson County Jail  without bail.

Failure to appear — Sommer Ann Humphreys, 29, of the 5400 block of Coleman Creek Road, Medford. Ashland police arrested Humphreys Sunday on warrants for failure to appear on charges of assault on a peace or public safety officer, second-degree disorderly conduct, improper use of emergency communications and resisting arrest. Humphreys was lodged in jail without bail. 

Criminal trespass, drugs — Jeff Dean Niemi, 55, of the 400 block of Shasta Avenue, Eagle Point. Medford police arrested Niemi Sunday on charges of first-degree criminal trespass, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, attempting to elude police by vehicle, driving under the influence of intoxicants, hit and run vehicle-property damage and reckless driving. Niemi was lodged in jail on $100,000 bail. 

Fugitive — Christian Daniel Aleman Escobedo, 21, of the 8400 block of Division Road, White City. Central Point police arrested Aleman Escobedo Monday on a warrant as a fugitive from Texas. Aleman Escobedo was lodged in jail without bail. 

Disorderly conduct, assault — Chelsea Starr Burke, 34, no known address. Medford police arrested Burke Monday on charges of second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, aggravated harassment, coercion and harassment. Burke was lodged in jail without bail. 

Failure to appear — Brandon August Sahlberg, 34, no known address. Jackson County sheriff’s deputies arrested Sahlberg Monday on a probation violation for driving under the influence of intoxicants and harassment. Sahlberg was lodged in jail without bail and released after serving his sentence.
