The Oregon Department of Transportation has provided an online open house for its ongoing rehabilitation project on the Gold Hill bridge that goes over the Rogue River along Highway 99.
The online open house will provide project updates and information on upcoming meetings regarding the bridge, and it will be available to view until June 1, 2026.
To view the online open house, visit oregon.gov/odot/Projects/OOH/22630/Pages/Welcome.aspx.
Local residents or those who are interested in the historic bridge and its renovation are invited to learn more about the project, leave feedback and more.
The rehabilitation project will expand the bridge from 20 feet wide to 24 feet wide and upgrade the existing timber walkway for pedestrians.
Construction is slated to begin in the summer of 2026 and the project’s expected cost is $16.4 million.
The main goal of it is to improve safety while preserving the historic bridge, which was built in 1927 and is known for its scenic views.
