Logos Envirothon teams excel regionally, are headed to state competition

Two Envirothon teams with Logos Public Charter School rocked the Southern Oregon Regional Envirothon Competition, winning first and second place overall and in multiple categories. 

The two teams, Rogue Pack Alpha and Rogue Pack Beta, won first place overall (223 points) and second place overall (213 points), respectively. 

Envirothon is an international environmental and natural resource problem-solving competition that builds leadership experience for high school students, incorporating STEM principles, hands-on learning and outdoor field experiences. 

Rogue Pack Alpha also won or medaled in multiple topics including first place in Forest Ecology, third place in Wildlife Ecology, first place in Aquatic Ecology, third place in Soil and Land Use and second place in Current Issue: Forest Stewardship. 

Rogue Pack Beta earned second place in Forest Ecology, first place in Wildlife Ecology, second place in Aquatic Ecology and first place in Current Issue: Forest Stewardship. 

Both teams will head to the state level for the Oregon Envirothon on May 2 in Silverton. 

This year’s results marks the fourth year in a row for a Logos Public Charter School team to make the state competition, and the seventh time overall in the last 12 years.
