“Today, we break ground not only on a new building, but on a promise — a promise to our students, to our families, and to generations still to come,” Executive Director Sheryl Zimmerer said during the event. “This is more than a construction site — it’s a future taking shape.
“Within these walls, still to be built, will be spaces where curiosity is encouraged, where creativity is sparked and where students will begin to discover not only what they can learn, but who they can become,” Zimmerer said.
The ceremony featured remarks from several key leaders, including
- David Dotterrer, former Jackson County commissioner and chairman of the Logos School Board. He highlighted the strategic planning and shared vision that helped bring the project to life, according to the release.
- Jeanne Grazioli, interim superintendent of the Medford School District, who praised the partnership between Logos and the district, celebrating the innovation and student-centered mission of the school.
- Tom Walker, owner of Adroit Construction. He shared his team’s “excitement and commitment to delivering a space designed for learning, growth and performance,” the release said.
- John Schleining, representing the Wes Howard Memorial Foundation, who spoke about the wishes of Wes Howard to help children, the Foundation’s support for the project, and its lasting impact on students and the community.
The new Tutoring and Performing Arts Center is scheduled to open in fall 2026 and will house specialized tutoring rooms, collaborative learning spaces and a state-of-the-art performing arts facility. The building is designed to support Logos’ flexible, personalized education model and to inspire creativity, excellence, and student growth, according to the release.
