Earth Day Celebration: ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum, in collaboration with The Farm at SOU will celebrate Earth Day from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 25, in the ScienceWorks parking lot, 1500 E. Heritage Plant Sale: The Southern Oregon Historical Society will hold its annual Hanley Heritage Plant Sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27, at Hanley Farm, 1053 Hanley Road, between Central Point and Jacksonville. More than 70 varieties will be offered, including lilacs, hellebores, columbine, peonies, iris, daylilies, herbs, rose bushes and green fig trees, drought-resistant/tolerant pink and white yarrow and more. Many of the items were cultivated from plants, shrubs and trees on the historic farmhouse property.
