Scores of protesters lined Oakdale Avenue in Medford on Thursday afternoon to participate in a May Day rally against the Trump administration and its policies.
The event was scheduled to run from 3 to 6 p.m., and hundreds of protesters waving signs were already on hand by 3:20 p.m. Similar protests took place nationwide.
Medford was home to a large protest April 5, when thousands gathered near Hawthorne Park and later Vogel Plaza downtown to rally against White House policies and the role of billionaire Elon Musk, who leads the Department of Government Efficiency and has implemented job cuts across the government, although some cuts remain tied up in the courts.
